Many versions from now, say 0.3 or so, we might begin to experience very strange phenomenon during spaceflight. More specifically, where they went, and when they might return. As we discover more and more monuments and SSTV signals, I believe we will begin to learn more about the Dunan aliens. I think that they are slowly adding a story element to the game by fleshing out the world through subtext. My theory is that the devs will continue sprinkling more and more of these clues throughout the system in coming updates, and not just to give us cool things to discover. It is likely that given the scope of the game and the size of the planets, there are still more of these anomalies already in the game that we have yet to discover. The ones I know of so far are the recently discovered SSTV signal coming from a mound on Duna:Īnd the Stonehenge-like structure on Vall: There are, however, a few that seem to indicate the presence of an ancient spacefaring civilization likely originating on Duna. Some are funny or intended as jokes, like the half-buried Curiosity rover on Duna or the Sagan face on Tylo. I'm sure most of you are aware of the abundance of easter eggs that Squad has put on the new planets and moons. Send us a message with proof, and we'll give you some flair to show it!
